Brandon is subdivision country — mostly two-story shingle homes from the 1980s through the 2000s, with multiple gables and generous front elevations. Those complex rooflines are the opportunity here: every peak and return you light adds depth, and a house with four gables outperforms a flat ranch on the same budget.
Multi-gable rooflines do the work. Brandon elevations tend to have several peaks, returns, and dormers rather than one long run. Following every line instead of just the front fascia is what separates a professional install from a strand thrown across the front — and on these homes it's where most of the visual payoff comes from.
Less canopy means the roof carries the display. Compared with Carrollwood, Brandon subdivisions have younger and sparser tree cover. That's an advantage: the roofline is fully visible from the street, so a clean, continuous line reads from several houses away and the display doesn't have to fight a canopy.
Streets here decorate together. Bloomingdale and Providence Lakes have blocks where nearly every house lights up. That raises the bar and it also lowers your cost per visit — when several homes on one street are on the schedule, routing gets efficient, and that's reflected in what the season costs.
Shingle roofs and standard gutters. Most Brandon homes are architectural shingle with aluminum gutters, which is the most straightforward surface to work with. Clips seat on the shingle edge or the gutter lip, nothing is nailed or stapled, and removal in January leaves no trace.
One price, everything handled
Every Brandon display is quoted as one all-inclusive seasonal price, and that price covers all of the following. There are no per-visit service fees, no takedown charge, and no storage bill in January.
