What a finished display looks like

Carrollwood is an older, established area with large lots and a heavy mature oak canopy. That combination means roofline lighting alone often disappears from the street. The displays that work here use the trees, the pathway, and the roofline together rather than relying on the roof by itself.
The oak canopy is the deciding factor. Original Carrollwood and Carrollwood Village have some of the oldest tree cover in Hillsborough County. A roofline set back behind two grand oaks reads as a thin line from the road. Wrapping the trunks and lower limbs puts light at eye level where it's actually visible, and it's usually the single biggest upgrade available on these lots.
Deep setbacks need light closer to the street. Lots here are larger than in newer subdivisions, and many homes sit well back from the road. Pathway and driveway-edge lighting bridges that distance so the display starts at the curb instead of eighty feet behind it.
Mixed rooflines and mixed roof materials. Carrollwood spans decades of construction — single-story ranches, two-story colonials, and later stucco builds, with shingle, tile, and some flat sections in the mix. Attachment is chosen per surface, and the design follows the actual roofline rather than forcing a template onto it.
Lakefront homes read from two sides. Properties on Lake Carroll and the Village lakes are seen from the water as well as the street. Where that applies, the design accounts for both approaches so the rear elevation isn't dark while the front is lit.
One price, everything handled
Every Carrollwood display is quoted as one all-inclusive seasonal price, and that price covers all of the following. There are no per-visit service fees, no takedown charge, and no storage bill in January.

Yes, and on most Carrollwood lots it matters more than the roofline. Under a mature canopy the roof is partly hidden from the street, so wrapping trunks and lower limbs is what makes the display visible from the road.
That's a common Carrollwood situation and it's solved with layers rather than more roofline. Pathway lighting, driveway edges, and wrapped trees bring the display forward so it starts at the curb instead of at the house.
Yes. Lakefront homes are designed for both approaches so the rear elevation isn't dark when the front is lit. It's worth raising at the consultation so the design covers both.
